Whitstable Toy Run - 2/12/07

I'm a little worried to publicise this as after getting the date form a bloke I met in Alford Brothers in Folkestone the WTRA's own website has gone tits up!

Anyway, it is supposed to be from 2pm, Gorrell Tank Car-Park by the Harbour in Whitstable....

If anyone knows for sure please let me know!

I can't find anything about it this year apart from on the soc website but you probably put that on there yourself. I know it's been held on the first sunday in December for the last few years as I have gone down straight from The Ace monthly meet.

I will probably head down there with a pressie and if it isn't on I shall take it to the Ace toy run instead in a couple of weeks time.

Hi Tunneruk, didn't realise there's a fellow GSer around ! If you fancy a chat maybe we can meet ? Am interested in the BTOU aswell and am also setting up a fundraising event for local hospice's Pilgrims. Do you ride a Alpine 12GSA by any chance ?

Cool, I'll try and get Invicta Moto (Paul?) in on it. Maybe meet up at H's cafe on A2 and if you/we fancy a trip there's some cracking routes I know down to south coast, Horsham (Ogri's cafe) etc., etc. Good choice on the bike front, I have same ! Hopefully the key's will help us tell 'em apart !! P.s. seem's to be some sort of prejudice towards Rallye Pro 2 outfit's, all I can say is it's what's inside that counts

Hi Tunneruk,If the blue and white 1150 was towards the back of the column of bikes then that was me.Not because its slow,but was last out of the car park at Whitstable having helped out a Bandit rider with a dead bike.I had come down from Croydon so am obviously not local,a shame the weather had put so many people off as it's normally a well subscribed run.Might see you on the egg run next year.

Indeed it is, It's been fairly tough having to keep it there as it's the first bike (and the most expensive) I've owned from new and the only one I've ever kept outside!
I just hope ACF-50 is as good as it's cracked up to be.

I live just off the road opposite you! small world, Silver gsa 1150 had for a few years now. The acf works well, i dont clean mine much and it hasnt rotted yet.

Yeah it's a very small world. You must only live some 800 yards away from me??
I don't remember ever seeing you on the bike though.
A couple of weeks ago I was out the front (washing my jeep) when a couple came by and complemented me on the bike, we got chatting, turns out he's got a GS650 and only lives up the road too!

I ride nearly every day for work but go out the other end, too early or late for most. Dont you just love shift work.

Sounds good. Off the bike at the moment due to a dodgy left knee, but it's fecking cold anyway!

There is also a GS parked up in Lyminge right on the corner in the centre of the village, have no idea if the owner is "one of us".....

Would be nice to get an East Kent meet going again!
