Who’s ordered one ?

Look's so much better in the flesh
walked into Bowker's today and there's two of them
IMG_6315.JPGIMG_6302.JPGIMG_6309.JPGIMG_6314.JPGTest ride booked, it looks really well thought out and well put together I actually walked past it at first, if you are not into GS bikes you wouldn't know it was a new model.
Not sure if I like the paint Finnish on the engine and wheels its a bit like a textured matt, that normally makes it hard to clean
do I like it
where's that configurator on the BM site
😎

Why oh why have they put anakee adventures on the Triple black ffs . That’s it order cancelled.
I asked the sales guy, he replied there a good tyre lol

he also said that there not allowed to register them until the 16th oct
I was also surprised that a promax iPhone fits in the cubby hole but no usb in there or by the speedo

the bottom of the cubby hole lifts up, there’s a plug or something underneath on the left, didn’t look what it was exactly

Yes there is an option to have a USB in there under the rubber mat

Got a set on the shelf , never used , look at them with the same fear as a tyre that gives a great feel then fucks you like a jealous mistress .

At Reiten they were taking orders pretty much all the time I was in there, were mainly triple blacks from what I could see, there wasn’t a green one to look at.

GB as you have seen one now would you be able to compare the pillion side of it , meaning have they compromised the seat size for looks or do you think the proportions are similar . Thanks for the photos as well.

hey stick, that was one of my concerns after seeing photos on the net

sat on one yesterday and wifey tried the pillion perch, she found it very easy to get on with the dropped suspension

I was pleasantly surprised that we had plenty of room, there was plenty of space between us, maybe even slightly more than my 1200, she liked the new grab rails, said they have more finger room than the current model, said the seat was comfy

the only caveat, we were of course trying it without luggage, so not totally representative of normal use

You a star , thanks for the post , as it was a worry , I would hope the top box would , in effect, make it more comfortable as a place lean , thanks again 👍👍👍👍

I’ll be honest stick I didn’t even look at the rear seat, I would imagine you would need to spec a better seat if you ride two up a lot.

no worries, pillion comfort is essential for me as I ride mainly 2 up and often with loaded luggage

if wifey isn’t happy on the back of a bike there’s no point buying it for me

Cheers gone for the comfort option which has the pillion in mind , will have the single seat option as well as looks good for my single days and tours out.

We went for a look-see at Bowkers this aft. I think the fit and finish seems good , the riding position is nice and my other half thought the heated pillion seat was comfy on the triple black (as far as you can tell in a showroom) so in general glad i've ordered one and looking forward the test ride a week on saturday. Just a shame it doesn't have 15" wheels , 290 hp , 250 ft...................🤣🤠

I really do hope the paintwork has been improved. I cleaned my R1200R and Scrambler 1200 side by side yesterday. Both same age but the finish on the Triumph is so much better than the BMW. Engine paint bubbling in all the usual places on the R, Triumph like new.

Probably because those parts will be 3D sintered/ printed

Matte wheels - save any complaints for the finish going matte ;)

@ChazzyB…That must be the superior build quality made in Thailand…LOL While KTM is even better moving their production to China…sad times ! I rather buy authentic stuff thats made where I live or where people make money to buy these products instead let a few people produce cheap to make big profits and then wonder why less people can afford the stuff and sales tank…Good that BMW still produces in Germany despite crazy high energy prices which are unnecessary and self inflicted wounds by the idiots who rule us…And yes I know F engines come from Taiwan but I would not buy a CMW anyways ! Btw I have ZERO issues with the build quality of my 2019 R1250GS which still looks and rides like new and uses zero oil and only had the stupid Hayes calipers replaced by golden Brembos where they also gave me new pads for free…Very nice !
