My dealer , £500 deposit , if i did not like it after the test ride , I could walk away , with my deposit as they have another spec bike in showroom to sell , win win for them.
Remember , your the customer so make sure they understand the rules as well .

I'm sure there are many other BMW Motorrad dealers who wouldn't request a £1000 (non refundable) deposit and he has since found one.

Unsurprisingly, his local dealer who wanted the £1000 didn't get the business !

When I enquired @ Pidcocks I was told deposit non refundable, so I’ll buy from Elsewhere even tho I’m local to piddy’s and there Ducati branch have had plenty of money out of me over the years.

When I take it in for service and they ask why I didn’t buy from them I tell them because deposit was not refundable.

I was recently getting quotes for a replacement boiler. Keenest quote wanted 50% up front to "book the job" and balance AFTER removing old system and BEFORE install of new. I eventually paid 100% on completion to another outfit for a similar price. I think their normal USP was 9 months to pay on credit. As it was on behalf of our village hall, their credit didn't work.

Nah, not really Stick, I just wanted a temporary fix, TBH, I wasn't expecting it to work, but to my surprise it did. The wafers in the lock do not sit as flush as an OEM item, will be replacing it when I get the exhaust valve sorted.

Both used and otr prices. Motorcycles and cars. I know prices are up in UK/row, but still shocked when I see 25k for a new GS 32k for a Pikes Peak.
Used? I looked for a GSXr 1000, a K7-8 model, as I still have the parts for a flat bar conversion and thought it would make a great second bike here. But prices are overly optimistic for huge miles bikes.

In the TE spec? Thought that’s was just the off road oriented one? In the configurator I couldn’t get a ‘TE’ spec in white - Will have a chat with Sycamore and see what they say.

Reminds me of old gixer colours! That does however make you realise how drab some of the colour combos are, esp black black and more black and a black moustache
