Who’s still riding an XT12?

Lovely drive train amd engine but Typical Yamaha they never developed a road bike or the promised Adventure version with the large tank.
Mind you the alleged MT09 engined Tenere is on it's way ( 4 or 5 years late to the party )

I’ll never understand how they didn’t developed this running gear in the bmw way. They could easily have made a supermoto model with 17” alloys and maybe a wee restyle of the nose. And it wouldn’t have taken much to build a TDM tourer model with low exhaust and FJR panniers and a base naked Bulldog equivalent wouldn’t have been difficult either.

Was told by a Yamaha dealer that it was because Yamaha didn't have the development budgets because of their propensity to waste money on technological interesting dead ends of bikes that absolutely nobody wanted or bought

A mate of mine still has his Super Ten that he bought new in 2011.
Just shy of 130,000 miles on it now. Just routine servicing, lots of tyres and a fork seal issue. The bike still goes strong and is pretty tidy too.

My Mate Charlie’s 2015 is up over 130k now and still going strong. He’d ride it anywhere without any fear.
