Who can service it?

Good morning all,

Can anyone point me in the direction of a garage that can service and calibrate my 2004 1150gs adventure? (Hampshire area)

At 4k rev's in forth gear the bike seems to automaticly drop revs and sometimes when i stop it gets the almost the point of stalling,Ive asked about and heard that when you service the bike it will require a sort of re-set.

Yes, give Neil (steptoe) a call at the GS shop and get it booked in, he has been servicing/repairing mine for years now.

Another vote for Steptoe. I had a similar problem and BMW dealer was unable to fix despite throwing lots of new parts at the bike. Steptoe diagnosed it in seconds and fixed it in minutes at minimal cost.

I travel from Devon to London to see him so its much closer for you.

I have used Steptoe and Barry Barber (B-Ems), both are very good but Barry living in Portsmouth may be more convenient (07810713710)

Andover to Steptoe's is less than an hour.

Or maybe it's just the way I ride.

I live 45 miles west of Andover and I used Steptoe to fix my GS's gearbox. Well worth the trip. Saved me £500 over BMW prices/labour.

• and if you want an official dealer, then Bahnstormers (Alton)

I can vouch for good experiences with Neil (Steptoe) and Bahnstormers, but at very different levels of damage to my wallet.

Can't comment on the other guys other than they've been recommended to me by others on here in the past
