Dublin mostly!
Last friday, ferkin fell off the Honda at 5 mph on hard sand, landed full weight on left hip. Have a fracture on right side and ortho says lie in bed for another 3 weeks, option 2 stay in hospital for 3 weeks. Bllx.
Bloody sore and back playing up now from lying bed too long.
Second opinion later this week. OK so long as he does'n't make it 5 weeks.
Shite, I thought I was rubber and indestructible.
Take care,
Bin.

Ouchies!

I'm nursing a broken rib still, three weeks after it happened- I wouldn't swap for your pelvis though, sounds nasty!! :(

Scary isn't it...I don't bounce any more and it's getting worse :tears:rob

"Run" over by a lorry whilst riding my bike.. Broken pelvis, ruptured urethra...50/50 chance of making it..Intensive care for 4 days, had a stab catheter for a few weeks, had to lie on my back for 6 weeks, wheelchair for a few weeks & then walking sticks for a few months... Apart from that it wasn't too bad...:thumb2

PS Get well soon...

Get well soon Bin Ridin..................................

We all do. Then it comes as a bit of a shock to find we're not (anymore) :( At least the hospital option would have the benefit of ogling the nurses ;)

Get yerself well lad :thumb2

MÍ-ÁDH . .

. .tá súil agam go mbeidh tú ar do chosa agus na rothai go luath, Bin.

home or away

Bin,
did this happen in cold, wet, miserable Ireland or in the land of the hot, shifting desert sand?
Whereever take your time to get well.
At our age, we are easier to break and longer to mend, and some of us shouldn't be allowed out on bikes, without stabilisers.

Broke mine 10 years ago ,all i could do was rest , 3 weeks in Ulster more than enough , another 4 at home . Still a bit out of line , Thats my excuse for the funny walk .

:tears:tears:tears:tears
cant say i enjoyed my fractured pelvis.:(
make sure you do as you are told,it will make a big deference in the end.

Go raibh mile maith agaibh for the kind good wishes,

Do tharla se anseo in Riyadh, bad cess to the feckin' place!
My own fault, tipped of the dirt bike at low speed but landed hard on left hip.

I will need a good arse-brace before I go out again, can't be off work like this.

I see Asterisk make good knee braces, but can't fing serious hip-pads.

Any clues?

Bin
