Who has the TouraTech "1 piece seat",and how do you like it??

I have one and like it a lot. Very good quality and fits well. I've got the standard height (similar to the original saddle in the high position) and it's firm but comfortable.

Hey Mike...will the seat allow you to move around a little...change seating positions?? thanks

You can't sit much further back because if the shape of the saddle. If you take a close look at the picture you'll notice it curves upwards towards of rear the riders section which prevents you from doing this.

The 1150GS version was flat so you could easily shift around. The 1200GS version isn't ! However the high version might be okay as there is a lot more padding towards the front. Might be worth givng TT a call to check.

Bought one off a guy who didn't like it. Didn't like it so I sold it. Guy who bought it off me didn't like it and he sold it. Try before you buy, if possible

Used the TT seat on my previous 1200GS - loved it, big improvement over the standard.

However, fitted a Sargent when I changed to the GSA a few months ago - another world!

The 1-piece does allow you to move around more, it's firmer and better finished than the standard. Probably not so good for two-up.

If you're changing from a Sargent, you will get more room to move but your arse will begin to ache after a couple of hours, so it might be a backwards move especially if you do long stints. If you do shorter runs and off road, 1-piece a good option. With the Sargent I can ride all day with no discomfort.

I'm also tall 6' 2" with long legs. Best change for me was fitting Fastway pegs and using the lower position.

touratech seat

I've just fitted one following a painful ride back from barcelona. Tried it out on a trip to Bruge last week. The new TT seat sits about 35mm higher than my original seat and feels quite comfortable compared to the standard unit. The additional hieght also takes a bit of pressure from my legs. Good luck.

Embarrassed to say.......I received mine yesterday.:mmmm

Installed already but the inclement weather has forced me to "wimpout" and wait till the rain subsides....:thedummy ( yea I know I'ma a pu#*y..)

I was planning on doing a few photo's and taking a ride before I posted.
But,so far the seat feels narrow, height about the same, but thats about it.
Friday's weather looks clear as does Sunday.

Sunny Friday with temps in the high 20°F's allowed me to finally test ride the new seat.

Don't look or feel to bad. At least I can shift around a little. A longer ride will definately be a true test.

This additional latch mechanism can become tricky for "seat removal" but I had no problems installing it with the factory rack.

I’ve seen clean bikes before but that’s, well, it didn’t leave the factory that clean.

Can't see in the photo, but bike (black frame, black wheels..etc.) were covered with road tar .

Three pressure wash sprays, and over 15 hours of "cleaning by hand" when I got home 9400 miles later. ..........

My fingers are still numb..... :tears
