Who intends keeping their GS

If the new 2019 Shift-Cam doesn't go faster I keep my 2017 triple-black GSA for a while...:thumb2
Because I'm afraid the new ones will come with TFT and keyless as no-option features !
2 options I can live without...but if the 2019 feels more powerful I can't resist because that is all they can improve on the GS/GSA-LC !

I will keep my 2018 for 3 years roughly, that will suit my family circumstances, then I may chop it in for a new one.

Is that the maximum warranty you can get for the bike Andy, so not a bad idea, and maybe in 3 years they will have identified the teething bugs in the new model, I am hoping to keep mine a lot longer, but to do that I must stay away from the dealers, and quit UKGSER...............:D

One of our lads is itching to place his order on a new shit-cam 1250.

That'll be torture riding alongside it every week. :D

Must resist....

It can go either way, the new bikes will be awesome, or they will have teething problems like anything else, and our bikes will be the last of the mohicans, and sought after.........:D

I think that could be true. A fine vintage sir, good choice...

Happy to keep my 09 single cam se. It's got everything I need on it now. Paint is good and everything works on it. Great to do our
Supermarket run, gets me and adult son to the island every year. Gets myself and the wife in comfort on our sorties into Wales.
I personally don't want anymore power as its adequate. Just bought a lovely little 850 r which does fine for winter and pooling around on. Until the mothership improves quality it's older beemers for me.

Keeping my 2002 1150GS, personalising and tweaking as I go. I only have the one bike. Nothing built since appeals as much. Not sure what I'd replace it with if the worst happened. Another decent 1150 maybe. Kept my FJ12 for 5 years and would have kept forever if it hadn't been stolen. I got it back, but never loved it the same again. I've had my 2000 2.5TD V70 for 8 years and would love to keep that, but economics must trump sentiment.

2017,18 LC's are for sure great bikes and keepers...unless the 1250 makes them feel slow...:D
The next test-ride indeed might become expensive...;)
Especially since the heavy wet-fart EU-5 muffler has to go from day one !
Hopefully the EU-3 Akra with removeable db-kilers will fit on the 1250...:thumb2

Mine is a keeper, took a while to get it where I want it, plus when its paid off I can get a fun toy to go with.
