this guy was probably more famous for smoking a Marlboro Red cigarette while on the pitch

Ollie Walsh (1937 - 1996) undoubtfully the best goalkeeper Ireland has ever seen, and one of the greatest names in the history of Kilkenny hurling. Ollie had a huge influence both as a player and later as a manager. He was a goalkeeper of enormous charisma he enjoyed a long and successful hurling career. His life was one of continous achievements. He had a style that uniquely his own. He had great skill and ability and as a hurler he was colourful, flamboyant, acrobatic and heroic.
