Who wants a Cymarc Mudsling alternative for the 2013- LC GS

As most of you know, Mark has spent days making an armadillo style hugger for the LC. Personally, this isn't to my taste, as I would prefer a Mudsling. I was in contact with the manufacturer of the Mudsling today, and they are anticipating delivery after March 2014.

The question is, who would be interested in a better alternative to the Mudsling, subject to final design and price being acceptable?

When you say alternative rich, do you mean a hugger ! that will cover the back of the swing arm as well ?

I would be interested in something to keep the back end protected. I like the Ilmberger hugger but in mat plastic not carbon and I also like the plastic version by Puig. I want to retain good access to the rear shock for cleaning etc and I want the device to be subtle. I dont know why someone doesn't just take the rear mud catcher off and fit a full rear wheel hugger incorporating that mounting point. As long as there is enough tyre clearance for fitment of off road type tyres when desired.

Yep, something similar to the mudsling, an extension of the wheel arch, that sits between the wheel and the swingarm.

Had a Mudsling Max fitted to my 2010 GS since just after buying the bike from new and it was the BEST for keeping the shite off the shock and swinging arm regardless of how shitty the conditions got. I now need one for my 2014 model as the swinging arm is getting hammered by the recent salt deposits on the road. Marks front and rear crud catchers did my 2010 really great service. My 2004 1200GS had 2 replacement front engine covers but my 2010 was as good as new when I sold it (just over a week ago with both crud catchers still attached). I have noticed, though, that the rear wheel of my 2014 does not throw so much crap over the top box so I don't think I'll need a rear crud catcher (though a front is still a winner in my book).

P.S. I am loving the LC even at the running in stage, it feels soooooooooooo much more urgent than my twin cam, and that's in road mode. Need to wait until spring to unleash dynamic!

I would ........

Fannum come up with a valid point about it standing out on its own
about there being lots of other bits with the same sort of mad max ,judge dredd stylee
Which i like


individual taste and all that...

I know thats not going to happen because of the time frame it took hooters to come up with that hugger which was a bloody great effort on his partb by the way
