I have rang SPC and emailed them twice regarding the purchase of Wilbers Suspension. On ringing, their promise of getting back to me never happened and I have had no response to the emails below. I'm not happy especially as I bought my R1200 from them in May and other bits and pieces since then. Is the courtesy of a call or an email message too much these days.

Any marketing person will tell you, unhappy customers tell a minimum of 11 people who each subsequently tell a further 11 people. I do believe this forum maybe a little more effective than that.

Furthermore, if any competitors of SPC read this I would be delighted for you to contact me as it is highly unlikely I will do business with SPC again.

Here is my need..................

I have rang you and you promised to get back back to
me but never did. This is my second email, as a
customer of yours, some response would be appreciated.

Got mine from Wilbers direct. Just send them an email in English and a very nice lady will reply asking exactly the spec. i.e. rider weight, if passenger, luggage etc. Your shocks will be tailored to your requirements exactly and as a bonus you will be quids in. Took about ten days start to finish, Highly recommended. IMHO as good as or better than Ohlins and more durable to boot.
Cheers

Hi Roger

Could you please give me the link to their site in Europe. I can only find the US site.

Thanks

I've e-mailed spc for wunderlich gear twice with no response either...I don't bother now...a call is usually more effective...however doesn't seem to have done it for you...

Have you given CW a try? I don't know if they do the suspension you've spoken about but they're damned good and they DO get back to you! Unlike SPC...

What is it that's so hard about customer service? It's not rocket science and I know for a fact that SPC do look on this website as I was once told by Bob that they were "Not very impressed" with what had been written about them on here!! This in the showroom in front of all and sundry.

Is it any wonder that their rating has slipped somewhat in the latest RIDERPOWER survey?

Finesse,

Well it's www.wilbers.de but it appears down right now. I'll try to dig out the emails from them but I may have deleted them recently... Will PM you when I find more info.

Cheers

Roger

SPC....

emails will not be abswered as the ISP who manages their web site has been shut down for the past week or so due to problems with their servers....have just checked and it's still down.

Roger - what's the cost from them...?

I've only ever dealt with SPC a handful of times, always by phone and always had parts sent within a day or two. They even shipped abroad for me without any fuss at all.

It sounds out of character in my limited experience with them...

Try to get hold of Miles for parts, he is courteous and easy to deal with. The other guy is a right .i.

It's actually cheaper to buy Wilbers shocks via the US (don't ask). Contact John Borella via the following email: [email protected] He has supplied a number of satisfied UK S owners.

A pair of shocks including the rear fitted with a remote preload adjuster is in the region of £660 - a bargain compared to Ohlins.

Before manufacture they will require riding style, two up or solo, weight of rider (+pillion), luggage etc

HTH

Adam :)

Adam, This price is not including UK VAT & Customs duty presumably. Unless you can circumvent this you are usually hammered for more dosh via UPS, FedEX, etc on or after delivery.

I paid around £350 for a rear on my PD from Wilbers direct, but would certainly be interested in a pair for my 1200 at that price!!

Cheers

Roger
