Or you could just do what I did....

I'm off the the Outdoor / camping show on Sunday at the NEC to try and get some new tent pegs after the mess they were in at the Lakes:blast

Do you need anything while I'm there? We'll have to sort out where and what time to meet up next Friday, I'll pm you later :thumb2

The link didn't work, actually it did but it just showed the front (enter place) page. I shall be going on the train to the show as it's only about 20"ish" mins away from where I live:thumb

Not this year. I blagged a free ticket last year but, to be honest, I can't afford to buy anything right now, having just gone freelance and only working two days a week at the moment.

Also (but don't tell anyone) I don't actually need anything. I'm just going for Saturday night so I can try out my new tent - the one that's the same as Geordiefoote's and Squid's. Looks like it'll be well and truly tested for wind resistance and waterproofness.
 
Ferries

It might just be my good fortune, but I never book a ferry when I'm on a Bike.
I just turn up, and go to all the providers at Dover and see who does best price [they can ALWAYS fit a bike on in my experiences] Then go along to Norfolkline and say can you match this ?? Always do and Norfolk line is IMHO the VERY BEST Ferry company for bikers to use...:thumb2

Not so easy at other ports although saying that >>
Brittany Ferries >> Poole - Cherbourg and Portsmouth - le Havre have done so

Even Plymouth - Roscoff fitted me in without a booking 45 minutes before sailing, and at a good price :thumb2
 
I do like Norfolk Line, but Dunkerque is 260 miles from my place, whereas Le Have is less than 100. Plus you can sleep on the deck overnight and arrive at Le Havre feeling fairly fresh.

You might actually be able to do me a favour:D

When You go in search of pegs can you see if they have any of those ground sheet pegs that look a bit like a golf T with a flat head on. They push in to stop the sheet blowing about when pitching the tent:thumb
