Who would go out and buy another 1200gs...please be honest.

No regrets here, just knocked up 15,000 miles since end of July last year. Had the Nav II power cable replaced under warranty last Friday as one of the connectors had corroded.

Had a couple of snags with mine but nothing that wasn't sorted immediately by Pidcocks. Yes I would buy another and if they bring out a 1200 GSA I will probably have one of those. Quite happy with the bike and have no intention of swapping it for a while yet.

I've had mine since November 2004 and only done 1800 miles but I'd have another one straight away - same fast red colour as well.

Thread hijack: Whats the starcom like? Is the music clear at a ton with ear plugs?

I probably won't buy another - because I plan on keeping this one for 5 years or so - only had it for a week and love it!

In the next couple of years will probably buy a sportsbike - possibly a Ducati 999 to sit along side my GS and Monster.

By the time I come to replace the GS, BMW will probably have a completely new version on the market - because the 1200 is soo good I would take a serious look at whatever replaces it in the future.

Cracking bike both for touring and off road,mines done 7500 miles ,no problems ,use,s no oil now.Nine months of great enjoyment,another 12 monthes she,ll be going for a new one. I don,t polish it ,don,t fit any uncessary sh--e to it,its just to ride .

Russ music is clear infact it was a bit too loud as it gets louder as you get faster a setup issue on my behalf though i think. Took about 3 hours to fully install. Voice qualitiy great aswell. If your anywhere near essex you can have a listen

Yes I would definately buy another, I love it!!!

Only had a couple of weeks with her so far, but the honeymoon period is far from over and shows no sign of wearing off at the moment... she's a beauty!!!

Downsides:
bit of buffetting from the screen
heavy getting it onto the stand
slow to fill the fuel tank to the top

cleaning the inaccessible bits
errrrrr
ummmm
that's it....now for the good things

performance, handling, with/without luggage/pillion, reliability, brakes, I could go on - so yes another one please!!!!
