Who's got the most miles on & thoughts?

Hi all,

Well over a year now since the launch of the “1200” Who’s got some serious/most miles on and does to get better/loosen up just the same as the 1150GS?

Just interested in your “Mile Munching” thoughts!

12,000 miles on my bike and it's definitely much smoother than when new. In fact, thinking back to how it was 6 months ago, it's transformed

8000 miles on mine and oil consumption starting to improve quite noticeably. Also fuel consumption still impresses me at around 55 mpg for touring speeds.

I know several R12GS riders besides myself with about 15k miles. And there's a guy I know of in Alabama (Bo Abernethy) who the micapeak registry says had about 33,000 miles as of a couple weeks ago.

27.000 km (16,777 miles). I'm on vacation next week and heading down to Deal's Gap, North Carolina and maybe Mephis TN before heading back. I figure I'll hit 32,000 km (19,800 miles) by vacations end. Sorry Peter.

12k here too. Smoother & faster as the miles have built up. Negligible oil use. No problems since well publicised sidestand issue last year.

I'd like a quick-turn throttle though - I always find myself grabbing another handful for that last bit of zap.

Renthal handlebars definitely make a big difference for me too.

7500Ks in 5 months and only used 100ml of oil. The bike seems still tight. front wheel wants to come up now. Ive had no problems at all with the bike. The only problem was the top box came off. The box has been replaced under warranty as well they gave me the old one back so I can use it on adventure rides.
