My 1150 is due its 12000 mile service soon. I can take it to in AJ in Bradford or the dealer in York. Which of them is the best?

I would have liked to take it to an independent but there doesn't seem to be one in Yorkshire that specialises in BMW :(

Rainbow have always been ok for me - good service and reasonably priced on bike sales and servicing

Hlaf a dozen services later, never had a problem with Jefferies

I think that with Jefferies and Rainbow you're blessed in Yorkshire.

Maybe Rainbow have the more of a personal tough, maybe?

Peter

Roy Gardener gets my vote
get outa halifax and take a ride to him good independent
never had any problem with him
do a search on this forum for more info and more reports

he will even drop you of in southport whilst your bike is being serviced
or you can watch him if that takes your fancy

for me AJ have become to busy to care thats just my beef

so its RGM for me or another person I know who is brill to you know who you are :thumb

Spoilt for choice

Peter's right , we are fortunate to be faced with two excellent dealers in Allan Jeffries and Rainbow . I even know one friend who rates Barrie Robson !

My preferrence is for Jeffries and I know of people who "commute" from Newcastle and the Midlands to have their bikes serviced / fettled there .

However , JohnnyBoxer rides past Jeffries to get to Rainbow - then again , could you possibly take the recommendation of a man given to puce / purple / red / cerise and yellow riding kit !?!

Take your pick of the options , but remember , they are all human and therefore capable of making mistakes . In my experience both Jeffries and Rainbow are professional enough to acknowledge any error and to put it right .

All the best , Jim .

I'd heard good things about Rainbow but can only say that when I asked both to source me a power lead for a NAV 11 rainbow said they weren't available as a part and Jefferies had it for me 2 days later - good enough for me.

Only because Jefferies P/x prices are so inferior!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't afford to buy a bike from them Jim, especially when I've got all this crap kit to fund

Rainbow have for the second time just been voted Best North Eastern dealer and finished 2nd overall in 2006 RiDE Magazine Rider Power Survey having previously got the overall number one spot.

When I decided to buy another bike last week , Rainbow gave me the best deal by far .
I contacted Rainbow , Alan Jeffries and Astle .

Regarding returning my initial phone enquiry , Kev at Rainbow returned my call in minutes , Astle took 3 hours and Jeffries were 2 days

My vote has got to be Rainbow :thumb

I went into Jeffries a few weeks back as I was doing the Bike 440. They didn't seem overly keen to talk to me, must have been the bike gear and dirty GS that put them off

I would take my business to Rainbow before AJS or maybe even London dealers.
EXAMPLE :I asked AJ to give give me a price on a system 4 helmet talk about rip of Britian and it seems like he was doing me a deal, in the end I got the helmet plus a few extra bits for half the price AJ gave me and I could tell you a few more stories about prices from them but I wont
To me it seems like look after the boys and the rest will follow well it stops here from me, you see I say you never now who you deal with it dont matter what the person looks like behind a scuffy t*at could sit a few bob

I put it down to me accent Im a southerner in Yorkshire :D
at least I got a good deal from Rainbows on me Conti TKC so Rainbow and RJM You have My business
But Like I said before thats my View and it sticks for me
