Why are my front brakes dragging?

2000MY 1150GS with ABS

I haven't had a serious look yet but I did whip off the calipers and found that all the pistons move freely and cleaned up the pads and pins. So the bottom end looks OK.

What about the master cylinder or ABS unit?

What do people think could be the cause?

I can't think of why, but I bleed mine and changed fluid, seems like I have another 10 hp maybe mine were binding slightly.

I've seen a bit of corossion on mine on the caliper where the pad slides, perhaps you have the same and it causes the pad to stick?

Failing that I had a car where the hose collapsed internally, acting like a one way valve.

Constant dragging or something like a warped disc would do?

As well as cleaning the pins did you check they were worn on their O/D.
