Hi Guy's trivial question I know but I have looked myself to no avail???

In the pipe line (hopefully this weekend) I have a 2000 plate 1150 GS on the cards and im already thinking about my hankering for the GSA look. :drool

As you would expect this includes all the typical trimmings that im sure you can predict and been asked about a thousand times before?

Top of my list is the bizarrely named 'Beak Extender' from the ADV model. They just dont look complete without one? Does anyone know where these can be purchased? Touratech only list 1200 versions and I cant find them for sale anywehre else? In my deffence I have never had to buy parts before so currently unaware of my options for suippliers? :nenau

Just a nudge in the right direction would be a great help... Cheers guys! :thumb

Thanks mate.. that was more obvious than i first thought! DOH! :blast

I also just searched this forum opposed to that "internet thing" and found a site I guess you guys use quite often called Motorworks! Not a bad site and eventually found it listed under 'upper front mud guard extension'. No wonder I didnt find it searching for 'BEAK extender' :D

This is the one;
http://www.motorworks.co.uk/bmw/products/large_image.php?p=MUA64390&desc=

Are they all the same or should I be aware of cheap copies that break etc?

Cheers all, Baz

Cheers Guy's... I have ordered the one from Motor works.. hope it's decent quality?

On a more exciting note... I have arranged to pick-up my GS this weekend :D Cant wait and gona get a nice ride home too!

It does need tyres though and as I really want to do as much off road as on road I thinking good old TKC's will be the way forward. Having said that I am crapping myself at the idea of riding a quater tonne bike on nobblies in the wet

Tourance's look good but very road orientated and the idea of riding them up some grass and mud covered track in Wales doesnt give me warm fuzzy feelings... :nenau

oh i forgot to mention... the extender was £32 but they did me an additional £9 for the fitting kit... :nenau

At least it should look the part... Shiney and everything LMAO... :D That is until I go hammering through mud baths etc... lol :clap

:rob:rob

FITTING KIT:nenau

If my memory is correct (I'll soon get shot down if I'm wrong), its only 6 nuts and bolts. I replaced mine with stainless anyway.

TKC will cover you best for both. They are good on the wet (I've found) just don't expect to follow a rice burner into the corners.

As for Motorworks they only sell BMW parts (mostly) a few non standard parts are sold but clearly labelled as such. It'll come in a bag exactly the same as you'd get from the dealerships as they come from the same source!

beak

Just ordered mine but they say they're temporarily out of stock(few days)but ordered the s/s fitting kit too.
