Riding my KTM 690 Duke 2016 towards Brecon from Swansea, after about 25 miles I felt a momentary hesitation form the engine but rode on until riding up hill towards the Crai Resevoir, it stopped altogether and I had to stop. It would not start. With no phone signal I was helped by a passing motorcyclist and police to get the bike across the road and roll it back down to a local pub with a land line and thus a recovery service. Battery ok, fuel and oil ok, no warning lights showing on the display. So it just stopped working with no warning which is not safe- I'm thinking about what could happen in a multi-lane round about for example. Any ideas? As it is, it is un-ridable. Thanks

Thanks, That last suggestion is really helpful to begin a diagnosis! Not just KTM that one- I have BMWs too and they are not perfect . In fact, over six decades, every bike I have ever owned has had its failures. Norton -shoddy, BSA- feeble, Velocette, much loved but it wore out so fast, Morini- fragile, Ducati - that crank! Gilera, the coil, plastics and cam drive wheels, BMW R100R, the instrument mounting-what!, G650X Country- wiring loom, and so on- only exception was a Yamaha TDM900, now that was 100% reliable- sorry I sold it: not many for sale for a good reason! That's my rant for the year. Thanks for the advice.
