In Alaska, we almost always wave.
Typically down low.
The GS'ers mostly up high.
In Los Anchorage, we are paying more attention to traffic, so waves are optional.
The only exception is the HA's....they never wave back...

It's pretty rare that you get a nod let alone a wave from anyone other than GS riders. North of Scotland is much more friendly almost everyone waves irrespective of what they're riding. Having said that when I ride my Daytona they all nod or flash... Must be the invisibility factor you acquire when you jump on a Beemer????

Discovered this is true at the weekend - was actually blocked by some twonk on an RT from filtering , was totally ignored by all other riders who would normally nod back when I am on the Bamdit ... and guess what the other GS riders I saw almost fell off their bikes to wave and generally show their pleasure at someone who will wave back!
I feel like I have been admitted into an elite bunch of riders
... without having to get a tattoo or buy a large piece of embroidery
