And why can't i turn off my garmin quest.....
i have to say that it did not serve me well while i was in europe...but i'm putting it down to lack of knowledge of new technology at the moment...

what have i don? and how can i get it to work again...

Not sure about the screen Matron.

I think, as you say your problems with it in Europe could be down to knoledge.

Just because you've got a cooker doesn't mean you can cook a meal.

Bring it down to PT and I'll have a look at it

Try this............

If your Quest gets locked up (ie no buttons working so no way of turning it off) hold down 'IN', 'OK' and then press and hold the power button for about 5 secs.

As you press in and ok, the light should go off (if it was on in the first place) and then when you release the keys after the 5 secs, the screen will fade out and it'll be turned off.....then just turn it on as normal.

well i left it on all night.... and its run out of power this morning...
so i'll recharge it and bring it down to pt for you rodger .. oohh sorry...kev x
