Reliving bike trips whilst sat at my desk....
... I have two fuel lines coming out of my 1150 GS tank, connecting to two plastic 90 degree tubes that disappear under the airbox, but only one carries fuel being routed through the fuel filter??

I recetnly did Neil's fuel filter on the outside mod, and its then that I noticed that one of these fuel lines carries fuel that seems to come straight from the tank without even passing through the fuel pump, and its gauze?

Why, oh why???

Can't someone end the madness???

Also: please reassure me that I have not reconnected it wrong: the filtered fuel goes the the lower of the two black plastic 90 degree tubes... yes?

Or is it the other way round...

One pipe (from the pump) is supply, the other is return.
Does the bike run?.If so,the pipes are connected correctly.
The bike wont start if they are the wrong way round due to the relief valve in the fuel distribution system.
