Once upon a time this was a pancake maker's club.

Then one day, one of the 'flippers' bought a motorcycle and enjoyed it so much that he got his mates into motorcycling as well.

A few weeks later, a couple more of the 'flippers' bought another motorcycle, but it wasn't the same make as the others had, so he was forced into starting another club......after some wrangling and great gnashing of teeth, he had to call his new group the 'tossers'.....and the name stuck.
