Mods - if this is not in the right place please move it.

I've been in discussions with Wilbers regarding their aftermarket shocks and have put together a group purchase deal.

They will offer 10% discount for a minimum order of five sets.

In real terms (based on an 1150GS Adv) this amounts to:

A. Front shock with adjustable preload and rebound, type 630

B. Rear shock with adjustable preload and rebound, type 640

Delivered to the UK for £537:00 at todays Euro/£ exchange rate and is inclusive of tax.

C. If you want the remote preload adjuster for the rear, add £121:00

D. If you want high and slow speed compression damping add £135:00

If you want the shocks made longer or shorter from stock in 5mm increments they can do that free of charge.

Personally, I think that A, B & C deliver the best package and that is £658:00 delivered !!

Servicing intervals are quoted at 20 - 30k miles.

The shocks are made to order so you will need to supply the following info:

type of bike, riders weight, pillions weight, luggage weight and the type of riding that you do, ie solo, solo with luggage, two up with no luggage etc.....

Now then, I don't want to be fannying around for ages organising this as I want to get my own stuff on order. So if you're interested and serious can you pm me and I'll get to work on it.

that's a good deal.

i got the fully loaded ABC & D units for £846 in the UK with gsclub uk 10% discount, but i only bought 1 set.

planning on doing a pictorial "how to" fit on these soon if anyone's interested :nenau

I was going to go with the all singing all dancing option but then figured sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to suspension. Left the variable compressions behind when I gave up R1's. Way too much fiddling about:thedummy

The "how to" pictorial will be good Cookie. It was the picture you put of yours still in the box that whetted my appetite for a set of Wilbers in the first place !!:thumb2

ah i see what you mean, i thought it was just 5 shocks, not 5 bike specific shocks.

Thanks for putting my name down. Don't worry too much if it doesn't pan out. :D

Strange that no one has mentioned the special coating they apparently come treated with....

They're spotless and yet the Bike is sh1t up....even better value than I thought....:D

trick eh? :augie

Ok, so far we've got two definate (me and CoolCarbon), three if I can arrange shipping to a dlevitt in South Africa and four if I can persuade Wilbers that rc mad who only wants one shock for a 650GS can count as a set, plus two maybe's.

I'll keep you posted.
