wilbers rear shock settings

Hi,

Ive just bought a used wilbers rear shock for my r1150gs.
Its the one with remote preload and compression adjustment.
Does anyone have the baseline settings for compression and rebound?
Or have the original fitting instructions?

Hi Gary,

I fitted mine earlier this year, and the settings for rebound are as follows;
Factory setting 15 clicks from fully off (fully ccw)
My setting is 10-12 clicks from fully off, depending on the type of riding I'm doing.

Preload adjuster is still set to fully off, but would be wound up if loaded with gear as the originalspring was spec'd with my weight in mind.

the sping loading (kg/cm) rating should be on the spring, give MCT at Stowmarket a ring with the fig's and they should be able to help you.
