Wilbers WESA from overseas?

The problem is marrying the shocks to your existing ESA control electronics. I have no idea how to do that or even if its possible for jo bloggs to do. I was happy to have Revs take all the hassle out of doing that for me.

+1 for Revs. They also match everything to your riding preferences and weight, expertly fit it all, set it up properly and you get all the benefits of their knowledge and customer service afterwards. For me it was money very well spent :thumb2

+1 for revs , but I did read somewhere of a guy who had his gs wesa done while on holiday in Southern Germany for a much discounted price .......
Either way you won't be disappointed :thumb2

the preload motor etc is removed from the old shock and fitted to the new,its only the dampers/springs that are new

Well you can only speak as you find!

They've rung me a couple of times to check I was happy with everything, which I considered to be good customer service. I presume you made your feelings known to them?

The preload system is pressurised. Who knows how you pump that up once its been cracked open. Also don't forget to factor in the costs of springs, strip, and rebuild. Not to mention removing and refitting the shocks to the bike. The front one is a booger to get at. VAT might also come into the deal.

Anyone know if Revs is a ride in ride out service at £1295? The web site says send them in.

I rode in, left mine for a couple of days with them, and rode back. I think it depends on the model though as mine is an LC and a it is a full day to fit on that. Other models may be simpler and it's best to just call them and discuss.

It took them about 6 hours to fit mine - I spent the day in a bike shop cafe (with wifi) and wandering around a few shops.

There are shops and wi-if in the Black Country!!!:eek::eek::D

Blimey it has changed a lot since I lived up there ;)

There's a video on youtube of a yank fitting WESA's. Swapping the ESA bit's over looks fairly straightforward (if you have the right tools) but when he used a digital thermometer to get the heat just right to crack open the bottom dampening mechanism (cos if it's too hot you'll fry the electrics inside) I decided it was worth paying someone who knows what they are doing. So, it's off to Revs at the end of the month:bounce1 I really hope they live up to the hype cos I've robbed from the kitchen fund to pay for them and her indoors is not happy:D

Im going to have my bike done too, but it involves a very long ride from where i live so will take bike down in a van and sleep in it while i'm down there.
