Help needed!!

Q1. I hope to sell on my BMW panniers and topbox to a 1150GSA owner but have no idea if it will fit a GSA, or if anything else is required?:nenau

Q2. I've seen the instructions on how to re-key BMW panniers. Like all instructions reality isn't always there. Is it as easy as it looks or is a trip to the local locksmith/Beemer dealer the way to go?:nenau

Thanks, any assistance greatly appreciated.

I did mine. No problem. I think you need a clean suface, good light and don't do it in a rush. It's a bit like doing a puzzle, can be fun. Even if you mess up provided you don't lose any bits (springs are tiny but held in by grease other parts are numbered) a locksmith could sort it for you in his sleep. It really is very easy. Good luck.

Ps. you may find that you cannot refit all of the levers, i.e. leave one out, I couldn't, but when I spoke to a friend, Locksmith he said not to worry as only I and he knew that and that there was still enough levers (5 I think) to keep it secure without concern.
