Will a BMW650 tank bag fit on an F800gs?

Me again,
will the Beemer tank bag for the 650GS fit onto an F800GS tank?

theres one on Flea bay at the mo

Ive been on the bmw site and it doesnt seem model specific, mines a touratech and they group all their twins F8/650 together as the same bags. Caveat emptor as they say but theres a good chance it could fit .

Just been for a dip in the bay, both 650 bags that are on are the old shape 650 single

Im not sure they would work as i cant figure out what the plastic fork thing is they are selling wth them, must be an older fitting

F650 single or F650 twin? If the twin the answer is yes.

If the single, then I've just ridden around for a week in Africa on a F650 single with a tank bag designed for the F650/800GS and it sort of fitted OK.

Thanks for the info, if doesn't get to exp I might have a punt on it, in thr best traditions of that renowned engineering company "Bodge it & Scarper" I should be able to do somthing with it,


if not can anyone recomend a reasonably priced tankbag?

Picked the bike up on Fri, now the proud owner of a 2010 2K F800GS. I didn't get the old 650 GS tank bag in the end.

I've bought a Kriega US10 tail/tank bag & the tank bag adaptor.

after a bit of thought it was a "doddle" to fit (a single strap round the headstock support tubes, and the 2 quick release buckles at the back are held securely in place by the seat

I did similar but made a bit neater by a bit of adapting.
