Anyone ever put a HP2 in the back of a T5 VW transporter before? Should be picking mine up next week so just checking! Saves me looking through all the tech data on the van and the bike to see if it will! :augie

Hi to all you HP2 ladies BTW, just come over from the 1200GSA dark side, suppose I need a new user name now too! :blast
 
I've just bought a T4 and reckon I could get my GS1150ADV in it.

if, after removing the mirrors and such, it still doesn't fit, run a strap from the axle to the top clamp and compress the suspension.....once in the van, you can release and trap the thing inside....good thief avoidence......bruce

Ive Put mine in a Renault Traffic no problem only had to take the mirrors off

pick it up (in said van!) next week mate AND it'll be coming down to cornwall with me for the new years gig (now single so bike and me get to do some cornish scenery for 5 days!)

I reckon 2 would fit no worrries, top to tail

Heh Jimbo how do you find the HP2 after your GSA? Thinking of the same move but dithering about like an old Tart!!I like that Big Boy Look:augieAre you chuffed with it?

Hi mate, haven't picked it up yes (next week!) but had a go on mavs and dirty dogs when last went trail riding and found it for my use (fire trailing and moderate off-roading) obviously much better suited.

I used the GSA for touring Europe on mainly and almost dreaded the cost of dropping it when I went off road, but the plastics etc on the HP2 seem more geared to take the stick, plus hell of a lot lighter.

So in a nutshell have a go on one! totally different beast to the GSA and both have there good points and bad points, but for now at least the HP2 seems to suit my needs. :thumb

Plus not as common as those 1200;s have become which is nice :thumb
