Will it fit?

I am looking at buying a spare rear wheel for my '05 RT to make tyre changes more convenient, quicker etc, but don't want to spend big money on a new one from a BMW dealer.
So, does anyone know if they are interchangeable from one year model to another?
I would imagine they all have different part numbers from year to year but don't know if there is actually any physical difference.
Any info appreciated.

I've done the same.
The rear wheel is the same from the 2005 to 2012 model bikes for sure.

FYI, the front discs changed in 2008 with slightly different offset on the calipers to accommodate, the wheel is actually the same. But I digress...

The R1200ST has the same wheels
The R1200R also has the same, but I suspect had the same change at the front as the RT.

To confirm before buying, I would cross ref on this site...

Thanks for that. Learn summats every day; I thought the seven digit number cast into the wheel was the part no., this has been different on all the ones I have looked at 2nd hand, hence the confusion.
