I plan tp remove the beak and all associated plastics up front, so wanted a nice looking instrument set up, and this ticks all the boxes (except no fuel gauge) and I could probably use the original 1150R mounts, and use the round headlight too, it's just a basic plan in my head at the moment, but may be less difficult than starting from scratch with generic clocks etc.
I'm guessing that I'll have to cut the plugs off and refit the plugs from my 1100GS clocks to be able to plug it into the current loom?
Very much doubt it will just plug straight in but you never know....might be some splicing of wires to do. I've been through all this shit with my Rockster (odd one out in the 1150 range as it has a electronic speedo rather than a cable driven one).
Has the 1100 got self cancelling indicators? The Rock takes a feed from the speedo. Speedo drive should be straight forwards. Tacho should be straight forwards, as should the clock and warning lights.
If you want simple look at stuff from Koso and Acewell....most have a fuel guage. BM gear looks classier however.

Thanks TT, the 1100 doesn't have self cancelling indicators (thankfully )
If the speedo and tacho cables fit, then I don't mind splicing the wires to fit, and yes the BMW cluster does look decent quality.
My other option is to remover the instruments from their plastic housing and perhaps fabricate something to fit them into
