Had my 1150GS delivered on friday(Bought from E-Bay) and it seems to be a dead easy bike to ride and it handles its weight well (unlike my triumph trophy 1200 which was the equivalent to riding a pot bellied pig)
The one thing i notice is wind affects it quite dramatically :D even to the point of my helmet feeling like it is being pushed off my head.
Is this normal and would a bigger screen, i.e a MRA screen be more effective.

P.S. Thanks to the member of this forum for not mentioning the severe corrosion or the knackered front tyre and brake pads in his E-Bay description :dabone

The MRA Vario screen is excellent, but lots of GSers use Tobinators to good effect with the standard screen.

Oh, and by the way, welcome aboard :thumb Sorry if your first impressions have been coloured a little :(

THanks

Thanks Long dog,it is one of those things Buyer Beware, yes i might try tobinators,New front tyre is on(Metzeler Tourance and new brake pads are fitted thanks to Micheldever tyres) Corrosion will be attacked with ACF 50 (Which i swear by) and thanks to this forum Hammerite smooth is being applied to fork legs etc.
Anyway cheers :thumb

No Way

I hope not to drop it on my drive, on the road maybe,it is however lighter than the Triumph.Scenario:- up to tight left turn junction, perfect stable no foot down stop,go to pull away, stall and over she goes :spitfire, directly opposite a petrol forecourt that was full of people, pick bike up quickly(not easy)and try to look macho :ymca
Needless to say Crashbars are on order.
But it is a lovely bike to ride and is not top heavy like my old bike.
