Anybody using window8 and MS Outlook.

I've tried to migrate my e-mail set-up from an old toshiba with Win 7 to a new pc which uses WIN 08. The account settings are the same and I've initially received the set-up test e-mails but the system won't now let me respond to e-mails and keeps asking for password even though I know its correct.

I've looked on line and there appears to be an issue with the WIN 08 e-mail system.

Keeps telling me to "please use SMTP Auth"

Win 8 and outlook 2010 and 2013 work fine if you are connecting to exchange for your emails you might need to uses domain/user format of the account name when loging on

Which version of Outlook?

2010 Outlook

It's receiving but won't send anymore, yet it did when I set it up on both e-mail addresses.

Does it just crash when you try to send emails if so check for office updates and also if using avast check that for updates as well

Doesn't crash and don't use avast.

My password setting is correct but it keeps asking to verify password on primary e-mail account but not the second.

Both account have received e-mails initially, but the primary account now won't receive

Are you connected to the internet through the o2 network?

Have you set up Outlook to use SMTP authentication?

I'm presuming your primary and secondary Email accounts are on different domains.
