Windows Defender or AGV free 2015 on Windows 10

I'm running windows 10 and like it but don't know if I should run with the oe Windows defender antivirus or AVG free which also runs on 10 without issue.
I know there has always been face pulling at the Windows product but which is the best for nothing.

Bitdefender recently won an award for one of the best Internet security suites. Windows defender is notoriously shite.
Research some independent Internet security reviews and you'll see the top few which always come out on top. Just use one of those.

Don't use avg free, it's utter rubbish and will throw more adverts at you than most malware will!
I second bitdefender for now.

I use AVG Free- haven't ever had an advert and it seems to do its job very well.....I must admit I haven't used it on a W10 machine yet, but I'd recommend it to anyone

Are you certain you haven't picked up a browser hijacker?

The Windows one is fine.

The thing is to not surf quite so many porn sites or open e-mails promising you ten million quid.

But if you feel you must tell us your bank account just got cleared out you may get a bit of ribbing. Which isn't a euphemism for something you'd find on one of the porn sites you got the virus/trojan from.

I now have free protection through my bank and have loaded Kaspersky so hopefully well protected but have passed your recommendation to my buddies running avg or defender.
