Go easy on me, I am a computer numpty.....:comfort

I have a copy of Mapsource here, with codes, etc, that I had used on my old laptop for a while until the computer decided to blow.
So, I have purchased another laptop and it is run by Windows 7. Will Windows 7 allow the old Windows XP Mapsource to be loaded on to this new computer?

Any info will be gratefully received. Thanks.:thumb2

Worked for me. But I do have problems with my 2610 - it causes the computer to crash into the BSoD. Works fine with my eTrex Summit.

Blue Screen Of Death

What Windows (various versions) does when it is in self destruct mode. Freezes up and dumps a load of debug code onto a blue screen.

Most commonly found after new software or hardware has been installed.

i have just done the same thing and needed new drivers for my garmin unit from garmin, downloaded them and it worked fine.

I tried new drivers but no joy. Do you know if they have updated them in the last month? If so, I'll give them another go.

Mapsource 'City Navigator V9' went straight into my new Dell desktop running Windows 7. Recently updated with the 6.16.3 upgrade, again no problem.
