I have now with the aid of Tobinators got rid of the direct windblast from the screen. However I appear to be getting turbulence around the sides and so logic says I need a wider screen.

Question is this, I have found somebody who wants to swop an adventure screen for a standard one. Would this be a good idea? Bear in mind I am 6ft 4ins tall. I realise the adventure screen is non adjustable and the tobinators would not work without further expenditure ( see wallet thread ).

Hope this makes sense.

not true

Hi MadMike,

PM Tobinator, the inventor and perveyor of the Tobinator. I have just bought an adventure screen to replace my standard one. It is much wider but only a little taller (paid 60GBP, perfect condtion). Should be a wise choice for winter...however, one is never going to get perfect fairing on a GS...otherwise one would have a RT...

Anyway, there are Tobinators that will work with the adventure screen, if you have standard tobinators you can updgrade them to fit the extra width. I am sure they are adjustable too...
Good luck

Yep - spot on. If you want to put an Adv screen on, then you can keep the existing Tobinator risers you already have and just get the extra bits that you need to handle the extra width of the Adv screen.

Whiz me an email (tobers [at] stopthebuffeting [dot] com) or PM me and I'll sort things out for you.

Before you do that though, try tilting the screen back a teeny bit more and see if the turbulence is removed - you should be able to dial it out completely. Small adjustments at a time are the key.
