Just lost a fence panel, and the rain is getting blown up the conservatory roof and in the ridge ventilators, that's the first time it started raining when we was eating dinner.
So a hasty evacuation to the living room and balancing the plate on our knees.

Yes it is...

on the way home last night was forced to turn around twice due to fallen trees in the road. Got home eventually 2 hours late to find the shed had blown over depositing its contents all over the neighbours garden. Spent 3 hours retrieving contents and dismantling the now knackered shed in a howling gale and torrential rain, just incase it blew apart and flew across the main road. While doing this I was nearly taken out by one of the five flying fence panels that have decided to live somewhere else.

On the up side I had plenty of spare shed timber to use to shore up the remaining fence panels and posts, the massive trees didn't blow over and destroy our house and both bikes remained upright :thumb2

Had a look this morning three panels gone the rest need replacing, the fence company's are going to have good chrimbo this year judging by the damage down my street.

Yep very windy!!, took a ride out to wessons cafe yesterday, the A27 and the ride over the top of falmer into rottingdean was interesting to say the least.

The winds started on Monday here, along with the rain. It's barely stopped raining since. I too had to turn about twice , once for part of the A31 closer, due to power lines being brought down by trees and another from a flooded lane, and so ended up further back in traffic than where I was was 15 minutes earlier. :blast

Nice up here today, done 3 hours oot and about with the missus on the back, had a brisk picnic at Arlington reservoir for lunch.

Blowing an absolute hooley here now rain and wheelie bins both side ways :eek

Boxing day was beautiful in the Yorkshire Dales :thumb
