Can someone help me out with the placements of the holes for some winglets? I have a '05 GS and no access to a GSA to measure the hole placements. Can some one do a quick check and give me the measurements? Thanks :)

Look under the panel at the metal frame. holes are clearly visable. mark and remove panel to drill.

If they're there , they are obvious.... look from the front up under the light ;)

Not sure when they started adding to 1200 GS's

Does the '05 front frame have the holes?

ISTR that there's no "front frame" on an '05 GS. I fitted Adventure winglets to both my '04 and '07 GSes.

I worked out the placement of the winglets by ensuring that the cutout in the nearside winglet was over the top of the moulding on the underside of the nearside beak which marks where the hole to fit an additional electrical accessory socket should be drilled. The other factor is to ensure that there's enough clearance between the lower, rear corners of the screen when it's fully upright and the front upright pieces of the winglets.

I strengthened the mounting of mine by buying two small pieces of drilled steel bar which just happened to have the correct hole centres for the winglet fixing screws, from B&Q and fitting those to the undersides of the beak, secured by the winglet fixing screws and nuts.
