has anyone else experienced this....
The winglets on my 08 Gsa have fractured ...
significant spider web fractures from the screw holes out-wards have appeared on both winglets they have not been adjusted or tampered with bike is always garaged and one has recently been replaced under warranty following a service only 3 months ago and this has also fractured
....any advice would be appreciated ...is this a common problem and a warranty issue

Have you splashed petrol on them by any chance? I recall reading in the 1200 section here of similar problems. Try searching the 1200 section for the thread. :thumb2

I dont think that is the reason,No petrol spills Im sure about that ..:rob
the fractures radiate from around the screw holes .. I have an inkling wind pressure is the problem but I would expect the winglettd to stand up to Gsa speeds

have you seen the price of petrol

Those were my exploding winglets. I would hazard a guess that there are many solvents that could cause this.

Are you a regular polisher ? What have you been using to polish or clean the winglets with?
