after all those gales yesterday , thinking of getting some planks across back seat, could fly to work then , that would look good in the papers. with all those spotlights on too , its gona look like close encounters of the fourth kind.

I was a tad worried when I set off for the M4 yesterday but without panniers my 12 (red) behaved sensibly and I was never worried about being blown sideways...
Went down to the Bike Show yesterday.
Going down was fine but heading back up the M6 in the gusts and the very heavy downpours really wasn't very nice.
Would it have made much difference if I'd taken the panniers off?
