winter camping january 29/30

Im still hoping to get to this, depending on child care.

If so, I'll either be dragging my caravan there and then going home for my bike, or I'll be packing my massive tent thats probably to big to fit on the bike, and riding there. If child care raises its head then I might have to stay at home and just meet up on the Saturday morning for breakfast. I won't be off roading on my bike though, so Ill either go on any planned road rides or just stay at base camp to ensure the pub doesn't get attacked by ISIS.

good stuff, havnt really planned anything for the rideout yet,
i was hoping that my trusty navigator would take care of things, however he may have to work:blast
but i have a map and can read it,
but if anyone with local knowledge wants to step up and lead the way i,m more than happy to stay at the back having a good chuckle:thumb

I'm happy to stay near the back and be chuckled at.

:)

Is the off roading going to be suitable for a GSA or do I need some thing a bit smaller

i suppose it depends on your ability and the conditions, etc etc
your more than welcome to join in but dont expect me to push if you get stuck:D:D:comfort
most of the lads will be riding smaller bikes i think.

I might be able to help on Sat . . . can't definitely commit @ the mo but only just up the road for me so fingers crossed.:thumby:

Could there be an opportunity for a few hours out on the Friday afternoon for those that might be able to make it? :D

I may be up for this but will only have the hire bike for 24 hrs - will look into it.

Hi Chaps, is there any room for a late entry on this and I will be camping ?

I'm just checking out a couple of options:
1: Ride up on the GS on Saturday and pitch tent sometime after lunch. Find Bear and maybe go for a spin down some local lanes or if it's shit weather just sit it out in the pub:beerjug: I need to test some new camping kit for Iceland trip so this would be a good opportunity as I reckon Derbyshire in January will be similar to Iceland in July :D

2: Ride up on Friday and try to hire a bike from Skygod (will pm him now). Come out with you lot and spend most of Saturday falling off and swearing! Go home happy and knackered. This would of course only be an option if your prepared to tolerate (and take the piss out of) an old bloke with lots of enthusiasm but no off road ability (only 3 days off roading ever in my life!)

Hope to see you all soon (even you again Keith :P :D)
