winter camping january 29/30

I admire your faith in the weather forecasters. I don't trust them to tell me what's happening now, let alone what will happen in the future.:nono

Ok folks I can lead a ride. As 3 of the bikes are leaving from my house I think thats a good place to start from. Can you give me some accurate ideas of numbers?
Bearing in mind this is my back garden and I ride here every week I won't be taking out a huge group. It causes to much disruption and is too hard to manage especially on a Saturday. I will take 6 riders plus me and no more. Sorry about this but like I said, its my back yard and I won't get a bad rep from people that know me because of just one day out.

Ive read the whole thread and cant establish who wants to green lane and who doesn't???? Over to you lot.

I'll start the (SkyGod) list off then - Me!

I'm on one of your bikes Gaz so will be green laning. Happy to go in the slower less experienced group (assuming there is one of course!)

Obviously I want to be in the well lead small and personal group of favourites, with all the popular boys.

Failing that, as long as I don't get left behind I don't really mind what group I'm in.

Looks like I may / should be there.
I am doing a recce with another lad next week to asses whats open and dificulty etc. He knows as much as anyone I know. I would imagine that would knock it down to 3 or maybe 4 groups. I aint bothered what standard of riders I lead. I will be chugging not thrashing about. Same as Gary says lets chop up into smaller groups and or leave a space between if 2 groups have to follow same chap on the trails The other maybe leader has a KTM and is modest of his ability But hes brillatit
More as it happens and if anyone wants I will try and knock up a GPX exchange file that should be usable. Send us a email to me at [email protected] if yer want one. I suppose you know there is a 11 mile Road route near to the campsite that was to be a " Derbyshire TT course " email me for that an all if yer want
HTHY :thumby:

I'm hopeless on road and worse off-road so it may be prudent to put me in the 'Clueless' group.
There are another couple of chaps I know who have made noises about coming. I understand one may have booked into the B&B or an hotel nearby. I've asked them both to note their intentions on this thread but they are noticeable by their absence so far. To be fair, one of them had some sort of operation last week so I'm not sure what sort of health he's in. Can I be any more vague?

It's funny how things turn out,:D
I thought more locals would attend, however it is what it is,wasn't expecting 15 bikes:eek:
My thoughts, the less experienced group go out with skyGod
Tufty
Timaloy
Dermot
Dermots mate
Toddmeister
That leaves one space for someone less confident to join this group
Astro+ 5 I would take a guess having ridden wth some of them ,they are confident riders so maybe that make another group subject to navigational challenges,
Paul would you get in touch with me to let me know if you have anyone in your crowd that knows the craic.
The rest can make up another group, hopefully led by db1.
.
Let's not forget we have had other offers for ride leaders,to confirm .
And who knows who may turn up on the day,or not ,come to that.
Either way we all get to spend the day rideing round in the best bit of england:thumb2
I'm sure we'll make good:clap

Does that mean you won't be running me over when I fall off?!

Got yo work Friday but am coming up in the car and stopping at a B&B down the road. Will camp Sat night though!

If no,one else shows I'm happy to take a group,But I don't know the lanes that well!
Let's give it a few days,I'll bring some maps and maybe highlight some trails, all will be fine:augie

Mike
I'm out with Mick DB1 on Monday to look at how t'is, and will be there Sat.
Not as quick as SkyGod (who has, as I'm very reliably informed [timolgra] very big balls) or as experienced as Mick) but I'm sure we'll cope.

Mr Bear, Steve, more than happy to ride over Saturday to go out on a road ride with you. Go on go on go on, you know you want to:D

Andrew/ Bear
I've got a ready made road route starting from just down the road , to which you're more than welcome.
Let me know if you want it.:thumby:

One if the chaps I mentioned could fill the bumbling idiots group assuming:-
A) He's over his op
B) He turns up, (don't bank on this though).

Mike, Lincs TRF are out Grantham way next weekend so no help there,
I'll be happy to ride with Mick if he'll have me, we've ridden together before
and his pace is just right for me.:thumb
Paul.
