The 24th is looking more favourable for me at the moment..
meet place as per last weekend at the cafe by the side of the canal on the A49 near Beeston about a mile and a half south of the A49/A51 JUNCTION.

lets say 9 am... stay out all day
we should deside between now and then who would like to stay over night in Wales

START POINT : there is a little cafe ( name unknown) by the side of the canal on the A49 near Beeston about a mile and a half south of the A49/A51 JUNCTION.

SO for example if you are coming from Nantwich on the A51 you would turn left at the lights where the Red Fox is/was (I think its still there but closed ) onto the A49 and after a mile or so go down the bank and look for the cafe on your left near the canal, if you get to the railway bridge you have gone too far.

LOCKSIDE CAFE

The cafe is called The Lockside Cafe ..............DO NOT go to the nearby Castle Cafe 'cos you would be in the wrong place!

The Cafe is just set back from the road a bit close to the canal, and the car park entrance is litterally just 50 ft from the railway bridge which crosses the A49. The cafe is on your left if you are travelling south on the A49 coming from the Warrington direction.

Ignore the red circle. Look where the railway line crosses the road and its between there and where the road crosses the canal.

BLACK ROCK SANDS

I just saw the comment about Black Rock Sands.

DONT GO THERE if you want a ride on the beach.

I hadn't been there for years so decided to decided to take a trip out there with Louise this summer. " Come on love, I'll take you to the beach for some sunbathing" - and a burn up the beach

When I arrived " You'll not bring that on here sonny !" ...........Its OK its a dual purpose bike with trail tyres , I'll be alright ............" No you won't , BIKES ARE NOT ALLOWED !"

Had to leave it close to the beach with all my gear on .

The only caveat I'll make is that you might be able to sneak on in winter when there is nobody around !!!

Maybe somebody local might know???

funny thing is for some strange reason i know where you can get on and off the beach in the barmouth area...but would not recommend it...

Yes and No..

If you go on a nice day during the summer the beach huts are manned. Later on in the evening its clear.

In the winter there is nobody about. However, if the coast guard folks are about they may have a word but so long as its not yob behaviour I think it would be OK.

PS. Not sure if I will make Sat - might have an earner on, Christmas coming and all that.

Sorry Terry,

I can't actually make it. I just thought i'd help out earlier with directions.

I would love to have been there but the bikes booked into Bluebell on Saturday morning for a fuel line issue.

If the fuel lines repaired early enough I might try and catch you all up. If you make it a peaks ride it would be easier for me to meet ya

Why dont you start a new thread entitled "Saturday 24th November Rideout - 9am" you might drum up some more interest.
