thing is the bike will stay in Canada....winters nearly as bad as Halifax !!!, as i wish to return next year after going back to work....whatever that is !!!

:mmmm What do you mean? It snows about two times per winter?

yer yer...Halifax....never snows like it used too, do you remember the winter of 1947, what a belter that was.

fact of the matter is, is that southerners imagine it is like the Arctic up there....no hard feelings please, just think yourselfs lucky you live on the costa del sol !!

how is Halifax these days...worth coming back too or what ??

by the way winters are not the same anymore here in Canada !! but there is still plenty snow in Quebec. nobody rides a motorcycle between November and May, sometimes there is very deep snow but generally the temperatures are below freezing and ice is the major concern.

BUT...there are always Snowmobiles....fastest accelerating things on earth (no slippage) and most sports machines now have over 200 HP.....that's twice as much as a 1200GS. a lot of people have Quadbikes now because you can use them all year round but i prefer 2 wheels or the 'SLED'.

when is the homecoming committe meeting...?????

merry christmas.

Don't know what Halifax is like these days, been a long time since I lived there...but I can ask my Mum if you want?.... ;)

I think know they still have a crap football side, the Rugby League team has now got a silly name and plays in the lower division you can bet your life there's still a hell of a lot of pubs...don't know if the 'Upper George' is still one of them.

:)

Have you got a story or two to share from your one and only ride in two years? Been on dozens myself. :dabone

If you have, I'll come over the tops and share a beer and a chinese and chips with ya? I'm sure there'll be one or two others here that will make the effort to welcome home a kindred spirit. Is there ?

25th December is out for me, otherwise give us a clue when you're back. :D

hi Rollo, will try to let you know when i'm back and hopefully we can get together....anyone else more than welcome.

Daj, the Upper George was still there when i left....i rate it as the best pub in town....summer nights were always packed outside...with the odd bike parked out back. i have a 'Triton' and i've always wanted to ride it through the pub....one day hey!!!

till later, cheers.
