Whats that then?

I'm signing up for a Sky broadband package and my PC has to be wireless enabled to fit thier equipment. (i.e .modem) I can buy a kit from them for £20 but im guessing I can get the same elsewhere cheaper.

twenty quid!

how much do you realistically want to save?

That's very reasonable........

You can get laptop cards for £15 + P&P if you go for a really cheap one (a bit slow though), or branded ones go for around the £20 mark.

Desktop cards seem to a bit more but I'm assuming from your post it's for a laptop???

I'd get their jobby TBH.....it'll be set up to work with their system and you'll also get the full tech support package on a product their own techies know......it probably ain't worth the hassle going elsewhere to save just a quid or two :)

I'm sure you'll find a suitable wireless 'card' from HERE either a PCI or a PCIMCA (laptop) depending on which 'puter you have.
I bought a 'Safecom' (extra value) one...does what it says on the box :thumb

Which package are you going for?
I've had a brief look at the Sky broadband packages and non of them appeared to require your PC / laptop to be wireless enabled. Although if it is a laptop you are using it would be advantageous I guess :)

Its a desktop PC, Sky dont mention the wirless part untill your ordering the package. Im getting the base package as currently I only have a 1gb monthly download limit and have never hit that, so Skys 2gb base package will do.
Ive since ordered thier wireless adapter to save any hassles with conflicts of equipment.
