Wiring for Givi top box lights on '08 1200GS

I have been trying to wire in the stoplights in my Givi Maxia on my '08 GS this afternoon (day off ), but don't know which wires to connect to . I think the '08 rear light is different (?) as it's all led's. There are three wires going into the rear light unit (normal lights plus stoplight). They are coloured:

Grey/Red
Grey/Black
Brown

There are just the 2 wires from the Givi led's. Perhaps one should go the the -ve on the battery (?) Any advice would be much appreciated

Brown is common on the 12's as the earth so the other wires wil be the tail light and stop light, no experience of which is which but if you can find a multi-meter would be simple enough to work out.

The 2 wires from the box will be a live and an earth, are the different colours? NO directions supplied with the box?

Thankyou for this - there were no instructions with the lights (as far as I remember - I have had the box on other bikes before). Presumably I would connect either of the two Givi wires to the brown and the other one to one or the other of the remaining two (if I can suss out which one is which ).

As an aside, my GS is the same colour as yours and I have ordered Sargent seats without the piping having seen the piccies of your bike! I ordered the seats just before taking delivery of the bike, and had almost ordered with the silver piping - glad I didn't! I should get those in a few weeks along with some Traxx black panniers
