wiring kit

I bought one and I am wiring it now. (Tea break) .

It is decent quilty and makes everything simple. You will need to cut as the wires will be too long . So buy some shrink wrap, solder and electrical tape.

I came on to ask a question before I connect to the battery.

Do I need one of those expensive centech fuse boxes for led lights? I am wireing straight to the battery and have an inline fuse fitted.

You don't "need" a fancy fuse box but what else do you plan to fit?
Also how do you plan to switch them?
A fuse box makes the whole job neater and easier.
Many LEDs have very fine wires so will need to be soldered to a thicker wire for crimping to spade connectors.
Don't twist the wires
Tin with solder
Slip on a heat shrink sleeve
Hold the tinned wire ends parallel
Touch on the iron & melt them together.
Slip on the sleeve and shrink with a hot air gun. The sleeve is quite stiff so supports the joint.

Sent somehow.

I dont want anything else other than the lights. Maybe another set in the future.

Just finished but I have them plugged in the Aux output as I did not see this in time. All soldered and wrapped.

All working fine. That loom works great.. Relay clicking away. I ride in the wet will test it properly

I have finally got mine finished.Fitted a 4 way fuse box with direct feed from battery via a relay triggered from the BMW aux socket.
Just a pair of cheapy ebay lights but i wired in a toggle switch so i can switch them off in i want, also used one of the feeds to power another charger socket, very pleased with the setup.

Here is that exact wiring kit .. I changed the switch out for this one as its handle bar mounted.
