As part of the re-wire of my 99 1150GS, I need to replace the wiring from the tank unit.
Is this wiring hard wired to the tank unit or can I replace it without having to change the pump and level sensor unit?
Does anyone have the wiring or the unit, for sale?
Also does anyone know of a tool for removing the pins from these connector blocks?

Re-wirng

What on earth could you want to touch this for? and why?.

They fall apart and/or burn out the connectors - especially the fuel pump feed. Doing mine soon :D

I'm assuming that the connection pins are held in the block with 3 or 4 barbs, if so I used to use a plastic lolly pop stick. Push it over a pin so it will pinch the barbs in, then the pin should pull out from the back of the plug. Finding the right size is the tough bit, but lolly pop sticks can be drilled out a bit to fit, but watch your fingers.

You can buy the correct tool for the job, but they look just like lolly pop sticks. :D

For Davegs,
The reason I need to change the pump wiring is that the wire at the connector fossilized and snapped so there is a by-pass connector pair for one of the pump leads, thus to renew the loom I need a fresh set of wires from the tank
I note in the Haynes Manual that one mustn't start the ignition without the oxygen sensor connected. Anyone had any trouble with the Motronics brain box?
