wolves or bears in Norway or Sweden?

Arrived back last week,

The only Bear I saw this year was skinned and attached to a wall in a small village Post Office in Sweden with a picture of the man who shot it

We did see a few Arctic Lemmings though which were a funny sight, one in particular didnt take kindly to me parking my bike near its nest and kept running up to my bike having a little shout and running back again :D:D

I did almost get wiped out by a large male Moose but thats par for the course its either them or the Reindeer

I say it every year but what a place, Iam seriously considering moving upto to Areplog in Sweden when I retire :JB

Areplog is nice, we met a lovely Swedish girl 'biker' with a Scottish name who stoppped to tell me to watch out for the Beaver......er I mean Moose.....!:blast

I stayed at the cabins just on the north side of the town then rode down to Skelleftea to meet a friend of mine with a farm and a John Deere 6010 tractor which I fixed for him. Fantastic countryside and his sister had shot a Moose for our BBQ....!

Can't wait to go back there aswell.

Stay at Stefans place called Lippi its just about 2 miles out of the village and 300SK for a nice 2 berth cabin.

Stefan even leant us his boat for our Midnight Sun fishing trip, he looked at us in horror as we loaded his tiny boat with beer, chocolate and gas stoves:D

I did like his in depth Health and Safety briefing though "DONT FALL IN THE WATER "

Top advice from a top bloke, he even leant us hsi rods and tackle as my Fly rod was embarrasingly inadequate

Imagine the Arctic Lemmings larger, as a bear.

-Are you sure they was not bear puppies? :green gri

;) Liv.
