Well lads and lassies,
My beloved Varadero was collected this afternoon and the new owner just text me to tell me what a peach it drives like, I'm chuffed with a job done and another fine machine rescued from neglect.
Anyway enough about that...... I'm off to look at a tidy looking 2003 GSA on Thursday in silver with 36K miles and BMW system panniers, a Givi top box crashbars and nice little spots. I seriously doubt it but unless its a complete nail of a thing I will be popping my BMW bike ownership cherry!
It was originally a servo ABS bike but the servo has been removed properly with a Motorworks kit (I think?!) done by a Motorrad mechanic and it now just had standard Non-ABS unlinked hydraulic brakes. Aside from the usual things like, clutch, driveshaft seals and bearings and general overall condition. Is there anything else I should really look out for???? I cant seem to find a detailed buyers guide anywhere and I've never owned a shaft driven bike before....
Cheers
Dave
