Wont start

My bike wont start when it is on the side stand, any ideas ??
Done 7800 miles with no other problems.

...or does it think its in gear i.e. dodgy gear indicator.

Worth mentioning that they wont start if sidestand down and in gear, whether the clutch is pulled in or not.

The 1200 doesn't need to be in gear.

If you start the bike on the centre stand with the side stand down and the engine/gearbox cold or nearly so the rear wheel will turn.

The computer detects rear wheel rotation with side stand down and stops the engine.

Yup. In cold weather you need to flip the sidestand up - then it should start first time.
